MARK Molesley made a total of 6 changes to the side that gained a point at home to Salford City this past weekend. Ricky Holmes made his first start for the Essex-based side, new on-loan goalkeeper James Montgomery took his place between the sticks over youngster Harry Seaden amongst other changes.

The first half came and went with the Shrimpers limiting the home side to long-range efforts. More creativity was needed up top after the break if the Essex-based side harbored any hopes of coming away from Gloucestershire with a point or three.

Neither side made any changes at the break.
Cheltenham Town took the lead 10 minutes into the second half via a penalty that was awarded after Shaun Hobson bought down the Cheltenham player having been all over the back of him in the box. Thomas converted from the spot.
With 60 on the clock, the away side made changes with Akinola, Ferguson, and Hackett-Fairchild coming into the action for Acquah, Demetriou, and Ricky Holmes.
Brandon Goodship was introduced to the action with 83 minutes on the clock in a swap for Ashley Nathaniel-George.
Try as they might though the Shrimpers just could not put the passes together to break through the Cheltenham defence and it was the home side that took all three points.
