BUILD-UP

Following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Walsall on Tuesday night at Roots Hall, the Shrimpers are back in action this weekend as they travel to North Yorkshire to take on Harrogate Town.

The Shrimpers are in dire need of three points as anything less will not be good enough as the Essex-based club are fighting for League 2 survival although some would say they are doing anything but fighting for survival but rather sleepwalking into the National League.

This weekend’s opponents, Harrogate Town have surpassed expectations this season following promotion from the National League last year they currently sit in a healthy 13th position.

TEAM NEWS

Sam Hart and Timothee Dieng

Both Hart and Dieng will more than likely be unavailable for the trip to North Yorkshire as both are currently facing suspensions.

Hart picked up a three-match ban against Walsall following a straight red card.

Dieng is facing a 2 game ban following his involvement in a penalty claim last weekend as the Shrimpers paid a visit to Scunthorpe.

Tom Clifford

Tom Clifford should be fit to feature for Southend this weekend at Harrogate Town following an injury that has kept him out of the last few fixtures.
