BUILD-UP

SOUTHEND United welcome Leyton Orient to Roots Hall this weekend in what will more than likely be the match that will confirm the Shrimper’s relegation to the National League should they draw or lose.

Following on from a 2-0 Essex derby defeat on Tuesday night the Shrimpers are now 8 points behind Barrow who have a game in hand and 9 points behind Colchester United who sit in 22nd and 21st respectively.

The Essex-based club is without a win since the 27th of March when the Shrimpers recorded a 0-1 victory on the road away at Harrogate Town in one of Mark Molesley’s last fixtures in change.
