PHIL Brown has bridged the gap in the middle of the Southend United midfield this afternoon by re-signing former Shrimper Jack Bridge on a one-year deal with the option of a further year.
Bridge began his career at Roots Hall and went on to make 11 club appearances over the space of two years before he departed for Northampton Town in January of 2018.

Jack Bridge spoke to the official website and had the following to say upon his return to Roots Hall.
It’s a club that is really close to me. I’ve been here since U9’s to the age of 21 before leaving. There was a chance of me coming back last season but this time it feels right and I’m looking forward to getting started.
Since I left I’ve played a lot of games, some of them in the [Football] League.
This season I played for Bromley in the National League which is where we’ll be playing next season so I think I’ve got a lot of experience since leaving, a lot of games and that will put me in good stead for the season ahead.Jack Bridge
