Southend Look To Get Back On Track At Home To Wrexham This Saturday Afternoon

HOLLYWOOD money rolls into town this Saturday afternoon as a Wrexham F.C. side now owned by Hollywood superstars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are the visitors to Roots Hall to do battle with Phil Browns Shrimpers.

Southend United supporters will be looking for an improvement upon the dire performance they witnessed over the weekend away at Wealdstone in which the Shrimpers could only come away from Grosvenor Vale with a measly point when in truth it should have been all three.

Phil Brown read his side the riot act following their performances over the weekend and will be looking for a reaction from his players if they are to have a successful campaign and look to try and gain promotion back to the EFL at the first time of asking.

Injury wise Abu Ogogo will be unavailable for this fixture after a scan of his hamstring revealed the extent of the midfielder’s injury which will keep him out for 2-3 weeks.

Former Shrimper Harry Lennon will be revisiting Roots Hall with the Red Dragons this weekend having joined from Southend United in the summer following the end of the controversial figures contract.
