Southend Look To Continue Positive Form At Home To Chesterfield F.C. This Saturday

THE Shrimpers continue their National League campaign this Saturday afternoon as they welcome Chesterfield to Roots Hall.

Last time out the Essex-based side secured a 1-0 victory at home to Eastleigh F.C. on Tuesday night and will be looking to continue the positive momentum against a Chesterfield side riding high in the National League standings.

The two sides last met on the 14th of April 2017 in which the Shrimpers came away from the Proact Stadium 4-0 winners in the League One encounter.

Josh Coulson – The defender is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after scans revealed he has a fractured ankle following a collision in the latter stages of last weekend’s defeat away at Solihull Moors.

Abu Ogogo – The good news is that the midfielder has not suffered a broken foot as was first feared but is doubtful for this fixture and will likely not be available for the next few weeks.
